We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to join our Giovanni's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires effective leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team amongst other duties.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company policies.
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Utilize POS system for cash handling and sales tracking.
- Conduct inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and minimize waste.
- Train, develop, and supervise staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement training programs for new hires focused on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Handle budgeting and financial reporting to ensure profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of food service management.
- Manage shift schedules effectively to optimize labor costs while maintaining service quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques and customer service
- Familiarity with a POS system
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in fine dining, casual dining, or quick-service restaurants is preferred.
- Background in hospitality management or kitchen management is an asset.
- Ability to train staff effectively in both operational tasks and customer interactions.
