As a Banking Consultant, you will work across business, technology, and management consulting engagements, gaining valuable exposure to multiple facets of the financial services industry. Primary Responsibilities
- Apply personal and corporate knowledge to tailor solutions and build partnerships, empowering clients to gain competitive advantage in their markets
- Support business and technology executives to solve key challenges within the financial services industry early on in your career
- Gain exposure to one or more of the following segments:
- Commercial banking including:
- Commercial lending and leasing, small business administration (SBA) lending, equipment finance, alternative business lending, agricultural lending and farm credit
- Treasury management
- Risk regulation and compliance
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Retail banking including:
- Payments processing management, consumer payments landscape, merchants acquiring, loyalty programs, mobile payments
- Consumer lending and leasing, mortgage and home equity
- Sharp analytical thinking and an interest in solving complex problems
- Ability to stay organized and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academics, extracurriculars, or prior work experience
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to team success
- Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning and innovation
- Bachelor’s degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and July 2026
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date; our culture emphasizes team collaboration within a hybrid work model
- Ability and willingness to travel Monday – Thursday (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe
- Majors with a focus in:
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Finance
- Familiarity with data analysis and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in commercial banking, retail banking and banking technology such as leading Fintech companies and traditional core technology providers such as FIS, FISERV, Jack Henry, Deluxe etc.
