Tire Technician for Commercial & Agriculture/Farm

K&R Tire, a locally-owned group of companies in West Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Agriculture & Commercial Tire Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Dismount, mount, and repair commercial truck tires
• Inspect vehicles using company-provided equipment, including racks and hoists
• Perform onsite tire installation and repair services at customer and farmer locations
• Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, adhering to all traffic regulations
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for equipment
• Participate in training sessions and adhere to safety procedures and company policies
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
• Work as a team member in the shop for customer tire needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with farm/OTR/heavy-duty/commercial tires
• Knowledge of farm and off-the-road tires and the mounting processes
• Ability to lift, pull, or push tires weighing between 30-250 lbs
• Proficiency in mounting large equipment tires with or without mechanical assistance
• Capability to safely change and repair commercial/farm tires in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of farm equipment and tires
• Ability to be on an on call roation for 24hr service
• Effective communication skills
• Strong time management abilities
