Position Overview
The Pool Manager serves as the primary on-site leader and point of contact for all day to day operations of West Meade Swim Club. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and people-management skills, as well as the ability to handle a wide range of operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary on-site liaison with the pool management company (lifeguards and pool manager), grill manager and staff, swim and dive team coaches, private swim instructors, team representatives, accountant, Board of Directors, and all contracted vendors (including landscaping, trash service, cleaning services, food suppliers, and maintenance professionals such as plumbers and electricians).
- Be present on-site for major club events and high-traffic dates, including opening weekend, Fourth of July, swim and dive meets, club parties, and closing weekend.
- Provide coverage at the grill or front desk as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicate pool closures, schedule changes, and important updates via email, website, and social media platforms.
- Address member concerns, manage guest interactions, enforce club rules, and resolve issues as they arise in a professional and courteous manner.
- Serve as a liaison between members and the Board of Directors regarding membership-related questions or concerns.
- Monitor club grounds and facilities, ensuring they are well maintained, and promptly communicate maintenance or safety issues.
- Supervise and work collaboratively with the Assistant Manager to ensure efficient and cohesive operations.
Qualifications

- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and problem-solve independently
- Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and age groups
- Prior experience in pool operations, hospitality, recreation management, or a similar environment preferred
