As a vital part of our aquatic programs, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons, ensure safety protocols are followed, and help students achieve their personal goals in the water.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging and safe swimming lessons tailored to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Conduct safety checks and enforce pool rules to ensure a secure setting for all participants
- Incorporate diverse activities such as water games, drills, and skill-building exercises to motivate learners
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide progress updates and encourage continued development
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area and equipment before and after lessons
Skills
- Background in learn to swim, survival swim instruction and or swim team coaching experience is a true bonus.
- Experience working with children or students in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster respectful and focused learning environments
- Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct diverse groups and collaborate with colleagues
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for reinforcing learned survival swimming skills while also advancing additonal swimming skills
