Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to communicate effectively, sell products, and maintain an organized store environment will contribute to our success. This position requires ongoing walking and standing, moderate to heavy lifting, operation of a two wheeled dolly and use of a box cutter. A basic knowledge of liquor, wine and beer is preferred but not mandatory. This position is for weekends, evenings and nights.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving any issues.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
- Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and processing new stock.
- Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries via phone.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and inventory management.
