Role Description
West Gate Bank is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This is an on-site role based in Lincoln, Nebraska Metropolitan Area. The CFO will oversee the bank's financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, asset-liability management, and reporting, as well as manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insight for financial decision-making to support the bank’s growth and success.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Prior experience in a community bank or similar financial institution, with a strong understanding of regulatory reporting and asset/liability management (ALM)
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements as well as familiarity with bank regulatory frameworks, including FDIC, OCC, FRM and FFIEC reporting requirements.
- Leadership experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives
- Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to develop innovative financial strategies
