Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Equine/Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients. We are a busy mixed animal practice and duties will involve patient care for both large and small animals. You will be involved assisting with medicine, surgery, radiology, nursing care, client communication and cleaning. Requirements:
- Practical experience in equine handling and daily care, including safe restraint and basic husbandry
- Experience working as a Veterinary Assistant preferred
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques
- Proficiency in basic animal care and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
