WCE is a job shop that predominantly produces aircraft tooling for companies such as Lockheed, Gulfstream, Cessna, etc. As a small job shop our schedule is customer driver and often requires overtime.
We are currently in search of filling Trainee Composite Technician positions. At WCE, you would be valued for your knowledge, skills and talents as they pertain to the activities and tasks required to operate our organization. Our composite technicians will be trained on various job tasks until formal assignment is presented to perform lay-up techniques that include pre-preg or wet lay-up, cutting, bagging, and/or trimming operations. This role must be able to demonstrate an understanding of work orders, blueprints, and lay-up charts to ensure the quality of the product. Must also be able to work with shop tools and equipment used in composite layup and assembly as well as demonstrate the ability to perform in a team environment and exhibit a willingness to “do what it takes” to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Main Responsibilities
- Must have ability to read & understand job instructions.
- Must have ability to use hand tools.
- Must have good manual dexterity.
- Must be organized & maintain a clean work area.
- Must be flexible & willing to shift priorities as required.
- Should be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
The successful applicant should have the ability to learn methods of various laminating techniques. To support the manufacture of pre preg carbon fiber aircraft tooling & fixtures.
Salary will be based on applicant experience
