Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the fitness, health club, or hospitality industry.
  • Proven experience in staff management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Experience with sales, marketing, and customer service in a gym or health club setting.
  • Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and profit/loss management.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of gym management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the fitness industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring that it runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of staff, including personal trainers, front desk personnel, maintenance staff, and other employees.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to ensure high-quality customer service and adherence to gym policies.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the gym’s budget, ensuring that financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor financial performance, including membership sales, revenue from services, and expenses.
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and control costs.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure that all members receive exceptional service, creating a welcoming and positive environment.
  • Address and resolve member complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Regularly interact with members to gather feedback and make improvements to services.

Facility Management:

  • Ensure that the gym is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of gym equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and emergency procedures.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.

Program Development:

  • Develop and oversee fitness programs, classes, and special events to meet the needs of members.
  • Collaborate with fitness instructors and personal trainers to ensure a diverse and engaging range of offerings.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
