Looking for an experienced IVF coordinator to grow our team. West Coast Fertility Center is a modern fertility center specializing in IVF. We prefer someone with a passion for women's health who would like to grow with our practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front and back-office roles and in the OR.
JOB TITLE: IVF Coordinator
REPORTS TO: MEDICAL DIRECTOR, NURSING MANAGER
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under supervision provides individualized plan of patient care in accordance with their scope of practice and CA license
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in front office and patient reception
· Assist in clerical filing, copying, etc.
· Answer incoming phone calls.
· Take vital signs.
· Take patient history and document in the patient record
· Assist during procedures and exams
· Give follow-up appointments to patients.
· Assist in the transportation of the patient to the operating room.
· Assist in the positioning of the patient on the operating room table.
· Assist wherever directed by the circulating nurses and/or the physicians in the operating room as the surgical procedure is being started.
· Prepare specimens for pick-up.
· Transport equipment and supplies to and from areas as needed.
· Clean and store instruments, equipment, etc as needed.
· Assist where indicated in the clean-up of the operating room after the surgical procedure.
· Perform related work as directed.
· Assist in the ongoing Quality Management & Professional Improvement Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Medical assistant or Nursing Assistant Certificate of completion or equivalent
· Previous work experience in IVF/fertility preferred.
· Current BLS certification.
The position is MON-FRI 8:30 to 5 pm in Fountain Valley with occasional coverage of our Downtown LA office and occasional Saturday and on-call assignments.
