Job Description

West Coast Contractors, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Construction Estimator. Project mix will consist of heavy, highway, bridge and marine construction.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interpret plans and specifications and review design documents to identify risks and opportunities on a project.
  • Complete take-offs
  • Analyze subcontractor proposals
  • Presentation of estimates to Owner and project team
  • Prepare bid packages and conceptual estimates
  • Interface with Owner, A/E's and contractors to provide cost data regarding project feasibility
  • Assist in the planning of construction including preparing preliminary progress schedules

Skills

  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Knowledge of budget and expense control
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence
  • Computer skills- Microsoft Office applications, MS project and experience with InEight preferred

Competitive salary based on experience plus excellent benefit package.

Salary: $90,000. to 130,0000. per year depending on experience
