What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) position at West Chester Veterinary Care?
Here at West Chester Veterinary Care (WCVC), we are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician. We are a general small animal and Cat Friendly practice. We are a 2 Doctor hospital and pride ourselves in taking time with our clients and their pets, an ideal practice for newly licensed as well as experienced technicians. Hours are Monday through Friday, wage based on experience and availability.
Duties: Triage, outpatient/inpatient care, surgical prep/cleaning, monitoring, assisting, sterilization/cleaning, recovery, Tech appointments, charting, discharges, cleaning, and teamwork throughout the hospital.

The majority of your day would be spent in exam rooms with doctor and clients, in treatment managing technician appointments and drop-off appointments, or in surgery preparation /surgery. This would include OR procedures, dentals, dental x-rays, catheter placement, and emergency drug knowledge and calculations.
Job Types: Full-time (32 hours minimum with the ability to start shifts at 7:45 AM and working until 6 PM.) Averaging 10- hour shifts. Requires open and flexible availability.
