What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plus Kids Facilitator position at West Central Minnesota Communities Action Inc?
Primary Functions
- Responsible for facilitating a safe and neutral environment for PLUS Kids families during exchanges and/or visitations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience and interest in working with young children.
- Ability to exercise patience and understanding when working with children.
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform daily tasks such as kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in child development or related field.
- Understanding of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- 1-2 years of experience working with children and families in crisis.

Essential Job Functions
- Perform client intakes.
- Supervise, monitor, and document children and adults during supervised visitations and safe exchanges.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems, unusual or extraordinary matters of significance coming to his/her attention, so that prompt corrective action can be taken as needed.
- Contact parents on schedule changes.
- Clean and organize visitation center.
- Document cancellations.
- Maintain files.
- Compile and submit required reports and data to the supervisor.
- Supervise volunteers in the absence of PLUS Kids Coordinator.
- Assist with fund raising activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

- Ability to use hands for typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment.

- Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
