We are seeking a Loan Officer Assistant who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-volume loan officer team. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth client experience from application through closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with applications, documentation, and administrative tasks throughout the loan origination process.
- Collect, review, organize, and track borrower documents to help ensure files are complete and ready for the next steps.
- Follow up with borrowers and other parties to obtain outstanding documents, provide updates, and keep transactions moving forward.
- Track active deals and maintain accurate spreadsheets, pipeline records, and transaction updates.
- Support both new leads and existing clients through phone calls, follow-up communication, and general assistance as needed.
- Communicate with borrowers, lenders, real estate agents, and internal team members to help coordinate the lending process.
- Assist with disclosures, document processing, and follow-up on outstanding items and loan conditions.
- Manage multiple transactions and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Previous mortgage or financial services experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable making phone calls, following up with clients, and coordinating documents and tasks.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data entry, and recordkeeping; loan origination software experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and proactively support loan officer; mortgage documentation and underwriting knowledge is a plus.
