General Function- Works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist at all times. Responsible for reading, interpreting and recording physician drug orders, and distribution of drugs throughout the hospital

- Educational Requirements: High School Graduate
- Experience Requirements: Basic typing and computer skills
- Special Requirements: Current certification with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician

- Work requires extended standing, mobility and lifting of boxes.
- Working with antineoplastic agents / carcinogenic chemicals/hazardous drugs (limited to unpacking and stocking hazardous agents and transporting prepared products within the hospital or retail setting).
