What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated SY2026-27 Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position at West Boylston Junior/Senior High?
West Boylston Public Schools seeks a MA licensed COTA in the Middle/High School and Post Grad Program. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to provide services that support students’ functional, academic, and vocational development across school and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist the Occupational Therapist (OTR) with screenings, assessments, and delivery of occupational therapy services
*Implement and follow documented IEP goals, service delivery plans, and therapeutic protocols
*Collect and document student progress toward established goals and report findings to the OTR
*Prepare and organize therapy materials and equipment for classroom and therapy sessions
*Adapt and modify instructional materials and equipment based on student needs for classroom use
*Assist in maintaining accurate student records, including data collection, charts, graphs, and reports
*Support students in vocational training, job coaching, and community-based instruction/outings
*Implement behavior management strategies as designed by certified staff
*Observe and report significant student behaviors, patterns, or concerns to the OTR and team
