Leominster Pubic Schools is looking to hire a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work directly under a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR)
Qualifications:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License
Job Description
- Assist OTR in the remediation or development of fine motor skills.
- Document student progress toward meeting established IEP objectives.
- Assist OTR in document student progress
- Plan lessons for both face to face and remote platforms.
- Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
- Prepare charts, graphs, or other visual displays to communicate student’s fine motor development.
- Understand child development, managing challenging behaviors and social emotional learning.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
