Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders with enthusiasm, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments accurately, and give correct change using basic math skills.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling beverages and preparing light snacks or baked goods.
- Follow food safety guidelines diligently to ensure proper food handling and hygiene practices at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with a strong understanding of beverage service and drink preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong attention to detail for food safety, cleanliness, and accurate cash handling.
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations and processing cash transactions confidently.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Knowledge of coffee experience, beverage service procedures, and café operations is highly desirable.
