What You'll Do:
- Provide classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for the CNA Training Program during the primary instructor’s absence
- Deliver lessons using the state-approved curriculum while maintaining instructional continuity and adapting to student needs
- Supervise and assess students in clinical settings, ensuring safety and competency in long-term care practices
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, performance, and clinical skills verification
- Uphold IDPH and organizational standards while fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
- Communicate instructional updates, student concerns, and incidents to the Health Center Administrator or primary instructor
- Active, unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in long-term care or senior living (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required)
- Train-the-Trainer certification approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (preferred)
- Prior teaching or in-service training experience (preferred)
- Ability to follow established curriculum, maintain structure, and adapt to various teaching styles and needs
