What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camera Operator position at Wenatchee Wild?
This position is responsible for operating our cameras to capture game action, fan interactions and other in-arena visuals during Wenatchee Wild home games. This position is crucial to the display of the game on our videoboard, and to our online broadcasts on WHL Live. Camera operators will communicate closely and constantly with our video switcher/producer to properly capture the action on the ice and the crowd off the ice, and to successfully execute sponsor components like Dance Cam and Kiss Cam.
This is a part-time game-night position that will require attendance at all 34 Wild regular-season home games, plus possible playoffs – games are primarily held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Camera operators must be physically able to stand for long periods of time. Hockey knowledge is preferred, but not required – experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
