7th Grade ELA/Social Studies Teacher (leave replacement)

Pioneer Middle School

1.0 FTE Non-Continuing Contract

1st Semester of the 2026-2027 School Year ONLY

DESCRIPTION: Language Arts & Social Studies. Middle School teaching experience preferred. Experience with Standards-Based Grading preferred. Plan, implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with program and district curriculum. Collaborate daily with grade level team. Implement intervention or enrichment as needed. Report pupil progress to parents; support programs and building/district in-service education programs; and attend building/district meetings and conferences as required. Participate on building/district collaborative teams and committees. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Washington state certification with appropriate endorsement(s). Highly qualified in English/Language Arts and Social Studies required. Experience integrating technology to enhance the learning environments preferred. Experience with Standards Based Grading preferred. Experience with the Marzano Instructional model preferred. Proven, positive collaboration skills are needed. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Demonstrated strong classroom management experience. Experience using data to guide instructional practice. Experience with using instructional technology to deliver the curriculum. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position. Flexibility and the ability to adapt are necessary. Requires prolonged sitting or standing.

SCHEDULE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
