Para Educator - Musical Accompanist - Choir

Wenatchee High School

Average 3.5 hours per day/191 days per year (17.5 hrs/week)

Salary: $19.50 - 21.89 per hour


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accompany choir director during choir classes; facilitate sectional choir practice; piano accompanist at all school concerts and choir performances. Develop part recordings for sectional and individual student practice sessions. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum AA degree or equivalent (72 college credits) or passed PRAXIS test required. Excellent accompanist skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Available to attend evening and weekend performances. Ability to relate well with students, parents and staff. Enjoy seeing students making progress. May require prolonged sitting or standing. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.

SCHEDULE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

BENEFITS: Health insurance benefits for employees working 630 hours or more per year include medical, dental, vision, life and long term disability plans through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). 180 - 219 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days and 11 holidays.

220 - 259 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 10 days of sick leave, 3 personal leave days and 11 holidays.

260 Day Employees - Paid leave benefits include 12 days of sick leave, 2 personal leave days, 14 holidays and 12 vacation days.

Tuition reimbursement, 50% up to $450 per year for qualified expenses.
