We are seeking a relationship-driven and mission-focused Mission Advancement Representative to support and expand our presence throughout the Southeast Michigan region. This role plays a vital part in building connections across communities, strengthening partnerships, and elevating awareness of our organization’s work and impact.
The Mission Advancement Representative serves as a key ambassador, working closely with leadership to implement community relations strategies, support fundraising efforts, and cultivate meaningful relationships with individuals, congregations, and community organizations. This position combines outreach, communication, and data-informed engagement to grow support and advance our mission.

The Mission Advancement Representative serves as a key ambassador, working closely with leadership to implement community relations strategies, support fundraising efforts, and cultivate meaningful relationships with individuals, congregations, and community organizations. This position combines outreach, communication, and data-informed engagement to grow support and advance our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with administration and CEO to carry out public relations and fundraising activities
- Network with individuals, agencies, congregations, and organizations in the area
- Utilize market research, communication programs, and presentations to groups and individuals to promote the organization’s services and increase community awareness
- Participate in public appearances at member churches and in the community
- Disseminate information from the organization’s Corporate Office to area pastors and delegates
- Identify, train, and coordinate human resources outside the organization (clergy, volunteers, etc.) to assist in community relation efforts
- Develop strong relationships with the organization’s area delegates
- Participate in gathering and analyzing data regarding volunteers, donors, and constituents
- Maintain records of community relations activities and provides reports to Executive Director
- Develop weekly/monthly/annual performance plan and goals
- Meet defined foundation growth targets
- Create community relations opportunities that appeal to multiple audiences
- Represents the organization at community events
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One or more years of experience in community relations, outreach, fundraising, or a related field.
- Passion for building meaningful relationships and connecting individuals to a mission-driven organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel throughout the region and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
