In this role, you will help deliver meaningful and engaging activities, support residents in maintaining independence, and contribute to a warm, positive environment.
Responsibilities
As a Life Enrichment Aide with Wellspring, you will:
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activity programs
- Observe and document resident attendance, mood and engagement; note and report behaviors to support resident progress
- Participate in community planning related to resident interests, services and needs
- Support activity-related involvement in discharge planning, care planning and resident assessments
- Include residents and families in developing activity goals and program participation when possible
- Refer residents or families to Social Services when appropriate
- Coordinate activities with other departments as needed
- Monitor needs and recommend adjustments to ensure ongoing program quality
- Ensure charting is accurate, descriptive and reflects resident responses to services provided
- Arrange transportation for campus events and outings as needed
- Complete required forms, reports and administrative documentation for the Life Enrichment Director
- Build positive working relationships with other departments to ensure smooth daily programming
- Help create an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and calm throughout the facility
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior senior living or skilled nursing activity experience is helpful but not required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a passion for serving seniors
- Willingness to lead activity events and engage with residents
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Employment type: Part-time, 20 hours / week
- Schedule: Flexible; willingness to work days and/or evenings
- Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend (required)
