Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and floor care to maintain a pristine environment.
- Manage laundry operations efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care.
- Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols.
- Use janitorial equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and cleaning tools to ensure high standards of sanitation are met.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities across different areas of the property, supporting hotel housekeeping management as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with knowledge of industrial cleaning practices preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining efficiency.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling procedures.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation including vacuums, floor care machines, and chemical agents.
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping management processes and hospitality industry standards.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions related to safety data sheets (SDS), hotel emergency procedures, and sanitation protocols.
