Key Responsibilities:
Case Management & Client Support
- Manage client cases from intake through resolution.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely communication and compassionate support.
Legal Research & Analysis
- Act as the subject matter expert in Auto No-Fault Law and Personal Injury.
- Stay current on relevant legislation and regulatory updates.
Drafting & Document Preparation
- Draft and file DIFS complaints.
- Ensure all documentation complies with auto insurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate internal reports covering caseload, referrals, discharges, and other operational metrics.
Trial Support
- Assist with trial logistics and provide support if a case manager is deposed.
Technology & Billing
- Utilize document management systems (e.g., Ahshay) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Develop and standardize best practices for billing processes.
Accounts Receivable Management
- Assess and monitor overdue invoices for cases in litigation.
- Collaborate with the Finance Lead and President to implement effective collection strategies.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other case managers to deliver exceptional client service and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree as a Paralegal (required).
- 3–5 years of experience in Personal Injury Litigation, specifically handling insurance-related defense cases in No-Fault/PIP coverage, bodily injury, and/or UM/UIM claims.
- Experience working with automotive claims and adjusters.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Highly organized and able to manage time, caseload, and competing priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting individual and team goals.
- High level of dependability and professionalism.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and investigative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
