Summary:
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the build‑out of the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Lending Platform, a strategic enterprise initiative. This role will own a defined domain of the platform and will be accountable for translating the product vision and strategy into a well‑prioritized backlog of epics, features, and user stories.
The Product Owner will work closely with cross‑functional partners—including Product, Technology, Risk, Operations, and business stakeholders—to define requirements, ensure strong acceptance criteria, and guide delivery teams through agile ceremonies. Success in this role requires comfort with complex enterprise workflows, regulatory and control expectations, and large-scale platform development from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage the product backlog for an assigned area of the SCF Lending Platform.
Translate product strategy into actionable epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Lead and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and story acceptance.
Maintain transparency on work progress, prioritization decisions, and alignment to business outcomes, controls, and policy expectations.
Partner closely with Technology, Risk, Operations, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure end‑to‑end functional clarity.
Facilitate cross-team collaboration and coordinate dependencies across squads and product domains.
Resolve prioritization conflicts, unblock teams, and ensure cohesive delivery across the platform.
Contribute to the design and build of a complex, enterprise-scale lending platform involving regulatory, workflow, and governance considerations.
Ensure documentation and artifacts are maintained in Jira and Confluence.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Demonstrated experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
Proven experience as an Agile Product Owner within a Scrum environment.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience delivering enterprise-level products with complex back-end workflows, especially in B2B environments.
Demonstrated experience shaping back-office or backend platform capabilities rather than consumer-facing UI.
Strong background in financial services, lending, payments, or supply chain finance.
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile delivery practices.
Experience with large-scale platform builds involving regulatory controls, governance frameworks, and operational risk considerations. (preferred)
Background working in payment processing, trade finance, or other B2B financial products. (preferred)
Ability to operate in deeply technical environments; individuals with an engineering, technical, or consulting background tend to excel. (preferred)
Prior experience at major financial institutions specifically building backend or operational platforms, not consumer-facing applications. (preferred)
Comfort building net-new capabilities “from the ground up” with ambiguous or evolving requirements. (preferred)
