Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for experience design, such as content design, design programs, design research and strategy, or product design. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term experience design challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to create digital solutions for our employees and helping fulfill our purpose of humanizing digital experiences for commercial, corporate, and investment banking. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be expected to utilize your full range of product design skills (design thinking, interaction design, visual design, information architecture, user research) in developing useful and usable employee experiences by partnering with product owners, developers, and design peers and partners. You’ll be leading design efforts with a lean UX and Agile approach to delivery. Key responsibilities will include crafting design solutions and delivering supporting artifacts, connecting experience insights with design outcomes, participating in and contributing to Agile planning and ceremonies with partners, and consulting as necessary on design direction with peers and partners.
The successful candidate will have proven experience and performance as an inventive and collaborative product designer who understands how to work in a complex ecosystem and partner to deliver transformative digital experiences. This designer will understand how to bring user perspectives and needs into the conversation with partners and navigate challenges to achieving the desired user experience. Critical success factors will include the ability to operate effectively in a complex organization, develop partnerships with many stakeholders, and lead through influence. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
5 years of experience design, content design, design programs, design research and strategy, or product design experience
3 years of Figma (Command of common design tools)
Familiarity with iterative and Agile development processes and knowledge of application layer design and front-end code frameworks (React, jQuery, etc.)
Experience designing for digital financial products
Experience leading design efforts with a lean UX and Agile approach to delivery.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with driving digital user experience change and using data to inform design outcomes and narratives
Ability to ask appropriate questions, communicate effectively and persuasively to convey design solutions to a broad range of stakeholders: product managers, engineers, customers, etc.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to shape and drive work independently
Experience designing effectively within a standards-aligned design environment and knowing when to push design system boundaries as necessary
Experience with strategic planning and diagrammatic skills (Information Architecture), low fidelity wireframe production, high-fidelity design comp production, and design interaction specifications – including which artifact best suits the communication need
Ability to energize and motivate others; thrives in teams; highly inclusive, curious, and collaborative with proven ability to lead through influence (vs. authority)
