Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Change Implementation and contribute to large-scale planning related to Change Implementation deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Change Implementation challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Change Implementation deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Change Implementation. Required Qualifications: Change Implementation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
The GCP Data Platform Product Owner within the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Product Management team will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering capabilities that enable enterprise-scale data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will drive the strategic roadmap for the GCP Data Platform, partner with stakeholders across multiple lines of business, and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy, governance standards, and architectural principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the product roadmap for the GCP Data Platform, including core capabilities such as data ingestion, data transformation, storage, data governance, and consumption patterns.
Partner with stakeholders, business leaders, and engineering teams to understand business needs, translate them into platform capabilities, and ensure delivery of value‑driven outcomes.
Collaborate with architecture, governance, and security teams to ensure platform capabilities comply with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements, and cloud best practices.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity of requirements and alignment to strategic business and technology objectives.
Drive enablement of modern data capabilities leveraging GCP-native services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, Cloud Storage, Composer, IAM, etc.).
Develop and maintain a multi‑year capability roadmap based on investment/value analysis, market trends, and emerging cloud technologies.
Ensure consistent, reusable patterns are defined and adopted across ingestion, integration, and consumption use cases.
Partner with engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities at scale, ensuring performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Communicate product strategy and progress to executives, senior leadership, and technical teams to maintain alignment across the organization.
Key Requirements:

Data management, data platforms, data governance, data engineering, or data analytics.
Delivering enterprise data capabilities on modern cloud data architectures or big‑data platforms (e.g., GCP, Hadoop, Spark‑based ecosystems).
Product Owner or Product Management experience, including defining product vision, roadmaps, and MVP delivery strategies.
Data architecture, cloud-based data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong understanding of GCP native data services, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Dataplex, and IAM.
Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-based data ingestion, ETL/ELT, analytics, and consumption capabilities.
Ability to work across all organizational levels with strong collaboration, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Proven experience defining and documenting business requirements, product features, processes, and user experiences.
Ability to manage complex priorities, balance trade-offs, and deliver results in an evolving environment.
Proven capability to simplify and communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
