Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Database Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Database Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise data solutions within a large-scale technology environment. This role requires strong expertise in ETL development, database engineering, cloud-based data platforms, performance tuning, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and supporting data pipelines, working with Azure technologies, optimizing database performance, and leveraging modern software engineering tools and AI-assisted development capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL solutions using SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and related technologies.
· Build and support enterprise data pipelines and workflows to enable data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
· Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
· Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.
· Design and maintain solutions across multiple database platforms including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, and Teradata.
· Develop automation solutions using Python and other scripting technologies.
· Utilize Data Engineering best practices to build highly available, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Support CI/CD deployment processes and source code management practices.
· Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
· Provide technical application support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis when needed.
· Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve development efficiency, code quality, and operational effectiveness.

Experience designing and developing ETL solutions using SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or similar technologies.
Experience with relational database management systems including: SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, Teradata
Experience with Python development.
5 years of advanced T-SQL experience including: Complex queries, Stored procedures Functions, Indexing strategies, Performance optimization
Database performance tuning and optimization experience.
Data Engineering experience.
2 years of Agile experience
2 years of experience with: Azure SQL, Azure Database Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF)
1 year of experience with development and deployment tools including:
o Git, Git Actions, Artifactory, Harness
o Internal Developer Platforms (IDP), ServiceNow, EPL-X or similar pipeline tooling
1 year of experience with advanced analytics and data platforms such as: Databricks, Snowflake
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with ETL orchestration and scheduling tools such as Autosys.
· Strong understanding of: Liquibase, NoBuild deployment frameworks, Advanced Python development
· Experience with automated testing frameworks including:
o Hyper Execute
o Octane
o Robot Framework
· Experience with Azure-based cloud data solutions and modern DevOps practices.
· Understanding of Databricks capabilities including:
o Apache Spark
o Delta Lake
o Workflow orchestration
