Digital Technology and Innovation group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo's digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.
Artificial Intelligence Technology Team
The Artificial Intelligence Technology Team enables the Enterprise to leverage the full capabilities of Artificial Intelligence to deliver insightful and personalized experiences for customers and team members, drive greater operational efficiency, while reducing risk and expenses and driving revenue. The focus is to develop and implement a foundational AI strategy for the Enterprise. Provide products and services to customer and business use case needs to be met, allowing our users to optimize how work is done through the leveraging of Artificial Intelligence capabilities. AI Technology plays a critical role in enabling our business partners through innovative technology solutions. The Team organizational model is designed to more effectively manage our portfolio of applications, govern enterprise IT, manage risk, simplify our technology offerings, and execute on our business partners' priorities with enhanced time to market.
Job Description:
The AI technology team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer. The right candidate will have expert level experience in SQL, Data Warehousing technologies, Talend or other ETL framework and Hadoop Big Data environment. The role will require the candidate to be the technical lead to build fault tolerant data ingestion pipelines.
Responsibilities :
1. Validate requirements including DRD and work with Business partners in Data Discovery phase.
2. Create data ingestion architecture and design documentation
3. Develop data ingestion pipelines using Talend DCT, DCI frameworks
4. Develop applications using agile methodologies and Act as agile SME for the team
5. Design hive partitioning structure, ETL where predicates etc, by understanding the source data refresh and its indexing/partitioning structure.
6. Perform unit testing
7. Support data ingestion refresh jobs deployment to production
8. Interact with various teams to conduct daily work

Required Qualifications
- 5 years of software engineering experience
- 4 years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
- 3 years of Hadoop experience
- 2 years of Python experience
- 3 years of UNIX experience
- 4 years of SQL experience
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Good knowledge of Cloud Computing is desirable, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Good knowledge of Apache Beam, Dataflow, Dataproc related technologies is desirable.
