The successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in working in a data driven environment and supporting fast paced agile development. This candidate should have good technical background working in a Big data ecosystem and the ability to do data analysis, application design and development, code implementation and overall application support. This candidate should also be willing to learn and be flexible to changing technology.

The job responsibilities for the job include but are not limited to:
- Analyze highly complex business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign complex applications.
- Collaborate with other technology teams and architects to define and develop solutions.
- Research and experiment with emerging ETL technologies and tools related to Big Data..
- Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
- Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
- Support overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
- Maintain the application code base and provide support for any code maintenance.
- Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
- Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan.
- Hadoop development and implementation.
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.
- Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams.

- 7 years of software engineering experience
- 3 years of Big Data experience
- 3 years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
- 5 years of SQL experience
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- 3 years of Java experience
- Cloud computing experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
- Ability to manage source code repositories
- 4 years of JIRA experience
- Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
- Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
- Knowledge and understanding of system including business requirement design or review, release management, and system issue resolution
- Must be able to attend training and off-site office events outside office hours
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours
