Under regular supervision, performs diversified tasks with responsibilities for shipping and receiving procedures. Regularly adapts procedures to complete assignments, and serves as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Prepares all shipping documents and correspondence pertaining to the work of the department in a timely and accurate manner.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form professionally and effectively with co-workers, departments, drivers, customers and vendors as well.
- Must be able to understand quality standards, methods, procedures and reporting as required.
- Responsible to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Reviews and prepares reports; selects and interprets information to be included, ensures accuracy of all documents and will be required to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- With supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolving problems and issues using a variety of instructions or guides furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Coordinating assigned shipping and receiving tasks to expedite an order, process a transaction or ship a product, to include arranging the loading/unloading of products, and customer orders to be moved, gathered or distributed.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and office/freezer supplies and distribute as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Oracle and/ OTM software knowledge is greatly desired, along with knowledge of shipping/receiving processes.
- Computer skills to include the use of Microsoft windows, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and basic math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors.
