JOB DESCRIPTION :: Barista
Overview: To provide a superior customer experience to every guest around excellently
crafted beverages and genuine hospitality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet all customers with a friendly smile
Provide friendly, efficient and personal service to each customer
Create a rapport with customers by learning their names and favorite drinks.
Attend regular team meetings
Strive for the highest level of customer satisfaction
Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized workspace and cafe
Educate customers on all of our products
Accurately process transactions in the POS system
Cup and taste coffee regularly
Maintain familiarity with all products and quality standards
Stay informed of new coffee availability and description
Communicate with team members and management to solve problems and
improve service
Keep a well maintained, clean and stocked coffee bar
Demonstrate initiative with routine tasks
Bag retail coffees as needed
Welcome delegated tasks from Cafe Managers based on workload, skills and
project priorities while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Check and respond, as needed, to Slack commutations at the beginning and end
of shifts
Qualifications
Demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for coffee
Customer service that is executed in a personal and professional manner
Experience and proficiency with Wells Coffee Co. brewing preparation standards
Desire to educate others about our coffee
Strong attention to detail
Great communication skills with both fellow employees and customers
Open to criticism and constantly striving to improve
Skillful multitasker
Physical Demands
Stand and walk—must be able to stand for shifts and move about the café
Perform repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and forearms to operate espresso
machinery
Taste/Smell – ability to detect and perceive smell of coffee
Talk/hear – frequently communicates with customers
Carry weight, lift – lift up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds
occasionally

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
