Barista – Carmela Coffee Pompano
Carmela Coffee Pompano offers a flexible schedule with shifts generally between 8 AM and 3 PM.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Barista to join our team. We are a fast-paced coffee shop dedicated to delivering high-quality coffee and an exceptional customer experience.
Compensation
$15-$16 per hour, including average tips. The advertised hourly range represents the base hourly wage plus the average tips earned by employees in this position. The base hourly wage will be discussed during the interview. Actual tips may vary based on sales, customer volume, and hours worked.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee and espresso-based drinks with consistency and quality
- Take customer orders and provide a welcoming, positive experience
- Operate the POS system and handle payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas
- Restock supplies and manage inventory levels throughout shifts
- Follow recipes and presentation standards for all beverages
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Clean dishes and support Back of House team members with their duties
Requirements
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset
- Punctual and reliable
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
