Our Ideal Candidate

The COO is responsible for driving operational excellence across the organization, ensuring the seamless execution of strategy and achieving a measurable impact on client outcomes. The role requires leadership at the intersection of healthcare operations and technology, with a focus on leveraging data, automation, and AI to scale processes and optimize efficiency. The COO partners closely with technology, sales, and client-facing teams to ensure our platforms and services deliver measurable value to customers. This is a hybrid work schedule role, and preference will be given to candidates based in or near the office, as the role will require frequent in-person attendance.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day company operations with direct oversight of Bill Review, Implementations, and Account Management.
  • Ensure operational performance against defined KPIs: turnaround time, accuracy, quality, and cost savings.
  • Manage escalation pathways and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Growth & Revenue Enablement

  • Partner with the CRO and Sales leadership to advance late-stage deals, RFPs, and renewals.
  • Serve as executive sponsor for top-tier client relationships and escalate support where needed.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients, working cross-functionally to deliver operational readiness.

Technology & Innovation Partnership

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI/Analytics teams to design, pilot, and implement AI-driven solutions that augment human workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can enhance scalability, minimize friction in client experiences, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Champion adoption of technology solutions internally, ensuring teams are trained and able to integrate automation into daily work.
  • Translate business needs into requirements that guide technical teams—demonstrating strong functional understanding of technology without requiring deep coding expertise.

Platform & Systems Operations

  • Provide executive oversight for the claims and bill review platform, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance.
  • Where direct experience in claims/bill review is absent, demonstrate transferable expertise in SaaS or healthcare-tech enabled software platforms—ensuring familiarity with workflows, client integrations, and platform scaling challenges.
  • Partner with Technology and Compliance to ensure platforms meet industry security, privacy, and regulatory standards.

Process Excellence & Scalability

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement automation and best practices across operations to ensure scalability as the company grows.
  • Build and manage operational dashboards that provide executive visibility into key performance outcomes.

Executive Leadership

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, aligning operations with corporate growth strategies.
  • Provide operational insights to shape executive decision-making.
  • Act as cultural leader, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and adaptable organization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of senior leadership in healthcare operations, cost containment, SaaS operations, or technology-enabled services.
  • Strong record of leveraging technology and automation to drive operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Experience overseeing claims platforms, bill review systems, or equivalent SaaS/healthcare tech platforms (preferred).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technology teams to design and implement automation/AI-driven solutions.
  • Strong client-facing presence with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing executive relationships.
  • Financial and business acumen, with experience in budget and operational P&L management.
  • High integrity, collaborative leadership style, and results-driven mindset.
