Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, coding
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using electronic medical records system
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Manage all insurance verifications and prior authorizations
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Assist patients with insurance relation questions or concerns
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and JCAHO standards
- Collaborate with the medical billing team to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement
- The employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Requirements
- Previous experience in insurance verification or related field preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in insurance authorization and verification
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology, coding
