Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Preschool Substitute Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Duties
- Implement daily lesson plans and activities provided by the lead teacher, ensuring a smooth transition for students during their regular schedule.
- Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity, social skills, and independence.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Support children’s learning in key areas such as literacy education, math, early childhood development, and Montessori methods when applicable.
- Assist with classroom routines including snack time, bathroom breaks, circle time, and outdoor play.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative learning environment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to all safety regulations and licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with working with children with diverse needs including special education or autism spectrum disorder is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with young children and collaborate with team members.
- A background in childcare or childhood development coursework is desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments as a substitute teacher.
