What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Support position at WELDING TECHNOLOGY CORP?
SUMMARY:
Provides support to Production Teams, Team Leaders and Team Members to help maximize productivity and allow for a streamlined and efficient workflow
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process work orders by preparing and distributing prep packets with serial tags
- Retrieve drawings and work instructions for team members
- Perform basic Brady printer maintenance and troubleshooting
- Manage records for 250 active tools and machines requiring maintenance via the calibration control database
- Responsible for calibration activities based on cycle requirements, testing equipment availability and production schedules.
- In-house calibration and maintenance for equipment including torque tools, soldering irons, etc.
- Generate in-house certification/procedures/documentation templates to comply with industry standards
- Coordinate outsourced calibration activities
- Distribute stocked inventory, monitor non-inventoried materials and generate purchase requisitions for the Tool Crib
- Monitor and maintain hardware inventory (200 types) and correspond with suppliers to replenish stock according to projected needs
- Collaborate with the Purchasing department to resolve purchase order discrepancies
- Participate in floor-stock cycle counting

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior leadership training is a plus
