Stockroom Attendant (2nd Shift)

We have an opportunity for a 2nd Shift Stockroom Attendant to become a part of Buffalo’s future in this historic industry!

Position Summary

Working as part of an interdependent team, the Stockroom Attendant will be responsible for supporting stockroom inventory during 2nd shift hours, including daily purchasing activities in support of plant operations. This role will combine hands-on parts and equipment receiving, part-issuing and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Job Duties

Some examples of job duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Daily review of ERP system for inventory reorders.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders against work orders.
• Locate and issue stock items requested by plant personnel.
• Receive product and material against approved requisition, PO, work order and ensure item and quantity accuracy; report any damage.
• Maintain proper stocking locations and perform transactions in AS400.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts as required.
• Identify surplus assets and obsolete stock.
• Meeting the key performance indicators/metrics for this role.
• Help source parts/services for plant/production needs as required – assist Purchasing in negotiating.
• Generate Purchase Requisitions for inventory and non-stock items for various departments.
• Manage all items going out for repairs; track status and costs diligently.
• Complete Company’s designated fork lift operators’ course. Obtain the appropriate lift truck operators certificate and operate lift truck, silent hoists and other material handling equipment.
• Must be able to load and unload stock in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Monitor and confirm expected ship dates and open orders and update area manager.
• Review min/max levels of stock parts based on consumption rates; make necessary adjustments.

Skills & Abilities

• Must be available to work 2nd shift hours (2pm-10pm Mon-Fri)
• Ability to work accurately with an inventory management system
• Detail oriented
• Accurate data entry skills
• Excellent computer skills

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6-months related work experience in Stockroom/Shipping/Receiving
• Purchasing and Inventory experience
• Ability to read and understand drawings to ensure items received are as per print
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
• Mechanical aptitude with strong ability in identifying various electrical and mechanical parts
• Knowledge of AS400 ERP System an asset

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
• Manual dexterity and frequent use of both hands

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
