Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate wiring and system setup
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete electrical tasks
- Measure electrical parameters using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems
- Support the wiring of low voltage systems such as security alarms, communication lines, and control circuits
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure all work complies with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations when necessary
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or completed 3rd or 4th year of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
- Demonstrated industrial electrician experience or commercial electrician experience is highly desirable
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading for electrical systems
- Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety protocols
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and NEC standards
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively
- Valid driver’s license preferred; reliable transportation required
