This position is ideal for a self-directed, entrepreneurial broker who owns customer relationships, understands margin discipline, and can manage freight end-to-end — from spot bidding and contracted opportunities to carrier sourcing and execution.
You will be responsible for growing and managing your own accounts, leveraging our asset-based network, carrier partnerships, internal support teams, and operational tools to scale profitably.
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday - On Site / Hybrid / Remote 1st Shift
Location: De Pere, WI or Norman, OK
Job Status: Full Time
Reports To: VP of Supply Chain
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and grow a personal book of business within our in-house brokerage model
- Own customer relationships end-to-end, including:
- Spot market pricing and bidding
- Contracted freight opportunities and RFP participation
- Load execution, coverage, and service performance
- Source and negotiate with qualified carriers to ensure:
- Coordinate closely with internal operations, customer service, and asset-based teams
- Track performance metrics including revenue, margin, and service KPIs
- Identify opportunities to shift freight into committed or repeat lanes
- Maintain accurate system documentation and load tracking
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; required
Experience:
- Established, transferable book of business (required)
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales
- Proven ability to:
- Price freight effectively
- Secure capacity
- Protect and grow margin
- Strong understanding of spot vs. contract freight strategies
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability and ownership
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team structure
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software products and Windows.
- Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
