Our Summer Internship Program offers students meaningful, real-world experience inside a leading dance and performance apparel company. For more than 60 years, Weissman has brought creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship to the stage, translating inspiration from fashion, performance, and the runway into products worn by performers around the world.
Over 10 weeks, interns work alongside professionals across our business, contributing to real projects and gaining firsthand exposure to how ideas move from inspiration and concept through design, development, marketing, and ultimately into the hands of our customers. Along the way, interns participate in professional development, networking, and experiences designed to broaden their understanding of both the fashion industry and the business behind it.
We view our interns as more than summer team members. They are emerging professionals who will help shape what comes next. Our goal is to give them the experience, relationships, and opportunities to begin building careers of their own while bringing fresh perspectives and new ideas to ours.

JOB TITLE
Merchandising Intern
LOCATION
On-Site (St. Louis, Missouri)
Responsibilities
- Work with a Guide and other interns on merchandising projects, from sketch selection to prototype reviews and product positioning
- Assist with data entry, sample organization, and catalog or website proofing while gaining hands-on experience with merchandising tools
- Contribute to sales and competitive analysis projects to support data-driven decisions and identify new opportunities
- Participate in product development, helping finalize colors, sizes, and costs to meet brand standards and customer needs
- Manage timelines and present a final merchandising project at the end of the internship
- Current college student or May 2027 graduate pursuing a degree related to the internship area
- Able to relocate to St. Louis, Missouri for the duration of the 10-week summer program
- Strong interest in fashion, apparel, or related industries with a desire to learn and grow professionally
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute ideas and work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to take on real-world projects in a fast-paced setting
