Estimator

As an Estimator at Weis Builders, you will play a critical role in project success by leading the development of complete and competitive project estimates, collaborating with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to define scope and pricing. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction plans, specifications, and drawings to define project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, review vendor/subcontractor quotes, and develop accurate estimates using historical data.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, client interviews, and presentations.
• Communicate and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Solicit, evaluate, and prequalify subcontractors/suppliers; distribute project documents to bidders.
• Support preconstruction and design-assist efforts; contribute to plan reviews and project handoffs.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and research innovative methods, materials, and solutions.
• Build and maintain subcontractor relationships to strengthen bid coverage and outcomes.
• Assist in developing and executing winning bid strategies.
• Complete additional estimating-related tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field and/or a minimum of 2 years of estimating experience with demonstrated leadership in estimates.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of construction building means and methods.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
