Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization with passion, strategic insight, and strong interpersonal skills with a personality that underlines being approachable and adaptable. While the position requires considerable hours behind the desk, important to this role is being highly visible in the community. Business owners rely on the Chamber as their key advocate, and the Executive Director must build strong relationships in the business community, bringing a personal and hands on approach to leadership while making continuing connections with other community leaders. The Executive Director must keep the Chamber in the center of the community spotlight, appearing at festivals, celebrations, ribbon cuttings and other area events to promote a sense of pride among business owners and citizens; all while presenting yourself in a professional and business manner.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of organizational management, driving strategic growth initiatives.
- Handle and oversee execution of Chamber events while working with the committees that plan these events.
- Continue the growth of membership, the primary source of revenue for a Chamber of Commerce.
- Prepare and annual budget to be presented to the board of directors.
- Lead leadership teams, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners, funders, community members, and board members supporting organizational growth
Skills
- Strong senior leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure partnerships, funding, and collaborative opportunities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities characterized by integrity, resilience, and inspiring motivation
- Understand and be able to work with QuickBooks
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
