Role Description
This is a full-time, remote Associate Attorney position with occasional in-person attendance as may be required from time to time. The ideal candidate resides in South Florida although this is not a requirement. The Associate Attorney will handle legal research, provide legal advice to sophisticated clients and in-house counsel, develop case strategies, draft legal documents, represent clients in negotiations, discovery, evidentiary and non-evidentiary proceedings, and assist the team at trials in State and Federal courts. The role offers an opportunity to learn from a career trial lawyer how to think and operate like a trial lawyer and not just another discovery associate, and how to effectively litigate to achieve successful outcomes no matter the complexity or stakes of the engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in civil litigation, particularly commercial litigation and the defense side of personal injury claims
- Motivated to consistently learn and grow as a professional, meaningfully contribute to a close team of professionals, and add value both personally and to the Firm
- Proficient in providing client communications and legal advice
- Excellent skills in issue spotting, case strategy development, and negotiation
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage a large and diverse portfolio cases, manage deadlines and prioritize time and efforts
- Active Florida bar membership in good standing
- Experience with high-exposure, litigated claims and corporate client representation is essential
