Role and Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Taking and recording vital signs: This includes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration. - Relaying information to MD.
- Assisting with medical procedures: This might involve assisting with examinations or other procedures.
- Assessing patient condition: Observing for changes and reporting any concerns to the physician.
- Providing patient education: Explaining treatments, self-care instructions, and infection precautions.
- Patient wound care
- Assisting patients in & out of clinic PRN
- Bringing patients to clinic room for their appointment
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintaining accurate patient records: This includes medical histories, treatments, and progress notes, prescriptions, patient education.
- Entering data into electronic health records (EHRs): Ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. New patient paperwork, Sending/ receiving clearances.
- Proficient with patient pictures for before & after treatments
- Pre-op patients including but not limited to: Consent forms, Instructions, Collecting vital signs, Collecting lab work, reviewing and prescribing medications for MD.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborating with medical staff respectfully.
- Working with physicians, other nurses, and support staff to coordinate care.
- Communicating with patients and their families: Explaining procedures, answering questions, phone calls and providing emotional support.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Ordering and managing supplies: Ensuring the clinic has the necessary materials for patient care (i.e. garments, medications, supplies).
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment: Ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Drawing lab work in office
- Transmitting prescriptions per MD guidance
- Assisting Nurse Practitioner with injectables (i.e. botox, fillers), taking pictures prior to treatments, topical numbing.
- Keeping clinic rooms fully stocked throughout the week.
- Travel to satellite locations as needed to support clinic staffing for MD clinics as well as daily staffing needs
- Assess, instruct, and prepare patients prior to surgery.
- Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct.
- Initiate IV’s and ensure patients are informed about the procedure.
- Cross train for ambulatory surgery center pre/intra/post operative care.
- Be knowledgeable to answer any patient phone calls including but not limited to surgery, aesthetics, scheduled, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing
Preferred Education or Experience
- Preferably experience in a clinic or hospital.
