Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor patient health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
- Work effectively with individuals in their home , and provide specialized care as required with daily documentation.
- Support hospice care clients by offering comfort and assistance during their time of need.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to create a comprehensive care plan.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or home health is preferred.
- Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring to recognize changes in health status.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility support.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.
- Experience working with the elderly population is beneficial.
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while being attentive to detail.
- Reliable transportation may be required for travel between client locations.
