Shipping and Receiving supervisor is a key member of our logistics team, providing senior-level expertise to the Shipping and Receiving functions.
How You’ll Make An Impact…
- Lead and develop a high-performing, values-driven team aligned with Weidmann’s Leadership Principles.
- Set clear expectations, coach team members, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Drive department performance by establishing and tracking key KPIs for shipping, receiving, inventory, and delivery.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company and legal standards.
- Manage warehouse organization, storage procedures, and inventory control to meet service and accuracy goals.
- Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service to address order issues, shortages, and demand changes.
- Lead inventory processes including cycle counts, audits, and physical inventories while maintaining data integrity in SAP.
- Prepare and manage department budget and drive continuous improvement through SOPs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies as well as compliance with ISO 9000 (QMS), 14001(EMS), and 18001 (OSHAS)
- Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and Business Management
- 5 years of progressive supervisory experience required in the Shipping & Receiving department, in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
- Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships and aligned partnerships with executives, managers, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects or initiatives that meet or exceed business objectives
- Previous experience with an ERP system is required; SAP preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a plus
